His technique, creativity and vision has made him one of the most dangerous midfielders in the Premier League and despite a slight drop in form during October and early November Pienaar has been a consistent performer this year as he continues to pursue glory in England and Europe. His decision to retire from international football has meant Bafana Bafana have lost one of their most important players and possibly one of the finest South Africa has produced.
