Why I moved to West Bromwich Albion – Manchester City loanee Tosin Adarabioyo

Manchester City youngster Tosin Adarabioyo has revealed that he joined West Bromwich Albion on a season-long loan deal in an attempt to earn regular playing time.

Adarabioyo rose through the ranks at the Etihad Stadium outfit after he joined their youth system aged five in 2003.

He made his senior debut in an FA Cup match against Chelsea in February 2016 but has struggled to make an impact ever since, with just four appearances across all competitions last season.

In a bid to get lot of games under his belt this campaign, the youngster disclosed how the congested fixtures in the 24-team English Championship spurred his decision to move to the Hawthorns.

"It feels very strange considering the amount of time I've been at Manchester City," Adarabioyo told Manchester Evening News .

"I think it's the time in my career where I need to play as many games as I can.

"The challenge of the Championship of playing two games a week so it's about adapting to that."

In addition, the defender is hoping to learn from manager Darren Moore - a former Portsmouth and Burton Albion centre-back.

"Darren Moore was a big part of my decision. He's a great guy. I can’t wait to start working under him,” he continued.

"In terms of his personality, how he comes across and his history of being a centre-half, I think I can learn a lot from him."

Tosin Adarabioyo was an unused substitute in West Brom's 2-1 defeat against Bolton Wanderers on Saturday.
