Walcott reveals the Arsenal star who will make the best manager

Arsenal winger Theo Walcott believes that Per Mertesacker would make the best manager out of every player he's played with over the years.

Mertesacker has struggled with injuries in recent times, however, with Arsene Wenger signing Shkodran Mustafi in the summer as he looked to bolster his defensive options.

Mustafi has since emerged as a regular central defensive partner for Laurent Koscielny, with Mertesacker having not played a single game in the 2016-17 season due to a knee injury.

And Walcott believes the 32-year-old has all the ingredients to succeed as a manager when he does eventually retire from the game.

Wenger: Xhaka denies alleged racism

He told the club's official website: "Where do I start with Per? He's very serious and a leader on the pitch, a leader off the pitch.

"You want to listen to him. I think he'd be an unbelievable manager, he genuinely would. Out of all the players I've worked with he'd be the best manager.
