Real Madrid and Brazil legend Roberto Carlos has shown that he still boasts a fearsome free-kick in his armoury.

The iconic full-back netted many a spectacular strike during his playing career, with a stunning effort against France in 1997 arguably his most famous.

The World Cup winner slipped into retirement in 2015 having made over 800 appearances at club level and earned 125 caps for his country.

Carlos has not, however, hung up his boots completely and can be seen from time to time showing that he has lost none of the power in his left foot.

Carlos is now 44 years of age, but still boasts the ability to floor an opponent from a set-piece situation.

His free-kick style was never the most cultured, with power often favoured over precision.

He was never shy at trying his luck, though, from any distance and all angles.

One of his most recent opponents has found that out the hard way, with Carlos offering little sympathy to an unfortunate foe.
