ANOTHER GREAT SEASON
The SuperSport United striker has had another great season in front of goal for the Tshwane giants - netting 17 goals in all competitions proving to be the most reliable in the PSL at the moment.
Known for his exceptional finishing ability, Brockie reached double figures for the third season running - having netted 10 goals and 18 goals in his first two campaigns in South Africa.
The New Zealander has also proven his qualify in the continent - hitting the back of the net seven times in the 2017 Confederation Cup which propelled SuperSport into the group stage of the competition.
The current Confederation Cup top goalscorer is probably the hottest property in the PSL right now and top PSL clubs have identified him as a target ahead of the July-August Transfer Window.
WHO IS PURSUING BROCKIE?
Three of the biggest of football clubs in the country, Kaizer Chiefs, Mamelodi Sundowns and Orlando Pirates have all been linked with the prolific centre forward.
However, Pirates and Sundowns are known to have to have shown the most interest in Brockie, who has admitted that he's flattered by being linked with the PSL giants.
Matsatsantsa's chief executive officer Stanley Matthews confirmed that they have been approached for Brockie's services in recent times with the Winter Transfer Window rapidly approaching.
But the Tshwane giants have made it clear that their most prized asset is not for sale at any price and the news has come as a big blow to Brockie's potential suitors.
Furthermore, newly appointed SuperSport head coach Eric Tinkler is also expected to build the team around Brockie, who is an experienced, well rounded and quality centre forward.
WHAT WOULD BE BEST FOR BROCKIE?
This could be the perfect time for Brockie to leave SuperSport with an aim to test himself at a bigger PSL club and take his game to another level.
A club like Sundowns, who are now perennial Caf Champions League and PSL title challengers, would be an ideal new home for the 29-year-old player.
Sundowns and their Gauteng rivals Chiefs and Pirates could to do with a prolific striker of Brockie's calibre as he is good enough to feature in their strongest starting line-ups.
There's no doubt that Brockie, who has a good attitude and he is also blessed with impressive predatory instincts, would succeed at any big PSL club.
