Revealed: Ake and Traore deals include buy-back clauses as Chelsea cash in on loan army

Nathan Ake has agreed his exit from Chelsea to Bournemouth for £20 million, while Bertrand Traore has already joined Lyon for £8.8 million, but the Blues will continue to monitor the duo after adding buy-back clauses into their respective transfers.

Bournemouth are finalising their deal for Ake on Thursday and he will return to the club on a permanent basis after impressing Eddie Howe during his loan spell with the Cherries in 2016-17.

Chelsea were reluctant to sell Ake without a clause and its inclusion eventually helped to get the deal over the line, while in Traore's case, the clause helped to reduce the fee to an affordable level for his Ligue 1 buyers.

Traore's value is likely to increase with more minutes on the pitch and Lyon have publicly disclosed that Chelsea will earn 15 per cent from any profit made by the club on their next sale.

The duo are to leave Chelsea as the transfer window officially opens on July 1, with their exits preceded by the likes of Christian Atsu for £6.2m, Asmir Begovic for £10m and Juan Cuadrado for £17.2m.

Chelsea also need to thrash out a fee for Dominic Solanke and will have a tribunal with Liverpool to determine the value of a player nurtured within their academy system. It is thought that Chelsea will ask for around £10m after Solanke's four goals led England to success at the Under-20 World Cup.

Liverpool also signed former Chelsea player Mohamed Salah for £39m from Roma and the Blues earned 10% of the Italian club's profit, which amounted to £2.7m. The overall incoming fees for Chelsea are estimated to reach around £65m after Ake is sold.

If the sale of Oscar to Shanghai SIPG and Patrick Bamford to Middlesbrough are included from January, that total rises to an estimated £125m, with Chelsea not doing any deals in the winter transfer market either.

Manchester United are attempting to secure a £40m deal for Chelsea's Nemanja Matic, as AS Monaco's Tiemoue Bakayoko closes in on a move to Stamford Bridge for £35.2m.

Everton's Romelu Lukaku and Juventus' Alex Sandro are currently being pursued as well to replace some of the departed talent - with at least three more fresh faces expected to join the Blues before August 31 when the transfer window closes.
