The Polokwane-based side will hold a media briefing on Tuesday morning

Polokwane City have confirmed the passing away of defender Mogau Tshehla

According to the club, Tshehla lost his life in a car accident on Monday night.

The 26-year-old right back featured in City's loss to Ubuntu Cape Town in the Nedbank Cup Last 32 this past weekend.

He joined Rise and Shine from Witbank Spurs in January 2017, and he was slowly beginning to cement his place in Bernard Molekwa's team.

Prior to his sudden death, Tshehla made six league appearances this season.

The club took to their social media platforms to announce the untimely death of Tshehla.

Meanwhile, the Premier Soccer League has postponed Polokwane City's match against Bloemfontein Celtic on Sunday to allow the team to mourn the passing of Tshehla.

As Goal, we would like to extend our heartfelt condolences to the family and friends of Tshehla, as well as his club, Polokwane City.
