The 23-year-old has enjoyed an impressive start to life at Chloorkop having been part of Sundowns' recent success on the continent and as of 2017, he has become an instrumental figure in Mosimane’s plans.
While Khama Billiat has struggled with injury and form over the past few months, it has been Tau who has come to fore and his exploits have even seen him become a prominent figure within the national team setup as well.
However, despite enjoying a purple patch in front of goal of late, where he has already found the back of the net on four occasions in the league, the 53-year-old tactician believes that Tau has the potential to be even better.
"Percy (Tau) could do better,” Mosimane was quoted as saying by Sowetan.
“We appreciate and acknowledge that he's a good player, he does well, he fights and tries, but he could do better in front of goal," Mosimane explained.
"I mean, he got one chance in the first half (against Baroka but didn't take it). He got one against Chippa and he was looking. He got to a one-on-one with the keeper from Wits, but he delayed. But it's okay, he's doing well," he added.
