Goal can exclusively reveal that Mamelodi Sundowns have yet to indicate whether or not Mzikayise Mashaba still has a future at the club.
According to a source close to the player, the Brazilians have not tabled a new offer for the left-footed player.
Mashaba's contract with the African champions is set to expire at the end of the June this year, and as things stand, he is eligible to enter into negotiations with a team of his choice.
He was once linked with a possible return to Johannesburg. Kaizer Chiefs were reportedly monitoring his situation at Sundowns, but the Naturena-based outfit has not made their move.
"There's no word from Sundowns as yet, but he continues to honour his exisiting contract. As you may expect, Mzi is with the team in the North West province [for their mid-season camp]," the source told Goal.

"He will train with the team until he's told otherwise, but for now, there is nothing happening [with regards to his expiring contract]," added the source.
The 28-year-old is seen as Tebogo Langerman's back up player at Sundowns, and his lack of game time has often left him friustrated on the sidelines.
He's managed just five league appearances so far this season, and given his age, he may well consider switching clubs next season.
Mashaba joined the Tshwane giants from Bidvest Wits in 2013, and his versatility saw him feature in different positions under the tutelage of Pitso Mosimane.
However, he has, over the past four years, been unable to cement his place in the starting line-up.
