Kunle’s Top Betting Tips: A week of rewards in the International Champions Cup

With an opening weekend that served three high-octane matches, the biggest and most high-profile pre-season tournament, the International Champions Cup hits full force with six games between European elites this week that promises entertainment and a chance for punters to rack in some cool cash.

Indeed, it’s the perfect moment for me to win just as I did during the weekend where I stacked on Both teams to score and over 2.5 goals at odds of (1.90) with Bet365 in the Liverpool vs Borussia Dortmund game which came through with the match ending 3-1 in favour of the Germans.

The first ICC game will see Juventus – who are in action for the first time in pre-season, take on Bayern Munich in Philadelphia. The Bavarian giants thumped Paris Saint-Germain 3-1 at the weekend and will be fresher in terms of match fitness than the Old Lady. So I’d give Bayern a straight win at (2.08) with Betway.

Next Dortmund play Benfica in Pittsburgh while reigning English champions Manchester City face rivals Liverpool in New Jersey. These games will be played simultaneously and BVB will be the favourite to get the better of Benfica at odds of (2.13) after seeing off City and Liverpool already.

It wasn’t far back in January when the Citizens and the Reds treated fans to an entertaining game that ended 4-3 in favour of the Merseysiders at Anfield. These were also the two sides that scored most goals in the Premier League last term so I’d pick both teams to score at the MetLife Stadium at odds of (1.49) with Betway.

AS Roma play Tottenham Hotspur in San Diego and even though this will be the Lilywhites’ first taste of the pre-season, added to the fact that the likes of Harry Kane, Dele Alli and a host of others that participated in the World Cup won’t be available, I still think Mauricio Pochettino’s men would make a statement of intent. I’d therefore back both sides to score at (1.51).

The biggest game of the day will see Manchester United and AC Milan clash at the Rose Bowl in Pasadena. These two sides have 10 Champions League titles between and have served up some of the most interesting ties in European football.

While we might expect a packed crowed in Los Angeles, I won’t expect plenty goal action as the managers of both teams usually like to take conservative approaches to their games and because of this, under 2.5 goals at (2.00) still with Betway is my best pick.

The last action of the day will see a rematch of the Europa League semi-final between Arsenal and Atletico Madrid in Singapore. Atleti won that tie 2-1 on aggregate and ultimately lifted the title, beating Marseille 3-0 in Lyon.

The Gunners are now under new management of Unai Emery after Arsene Wenger’s 22-year reign ended. The former Sevilla boss kicked off with an 8-0 win over Boreham Wood but that is not expected against an Atletico side under Diego Simeone that know the art of defending.

I would therefore expect another low scoring encounter here with my pick being under 3.5 goals at odds of (1.33).
