Iwobi hails Arsenal resilience in Burnley victory

Alex Iwobi was full of praise for his Arsenal team after they moved another step closer to the Premier League title on Sunday.

The Super Eagles forward saw his side battle to a crucial 2-1 victory versus Burnley, a result that propels them to second position behind Chelsea at the top of the table.

The Gunners were forced to dig as the Clarets mounted a spirited response, though, and Iwobi was effusive in his praise of his teammates and fans for their attitude in sealing a vital win.

The Nigerian who got a starter’s shirt was replaced in the 69th minute by Francis Coquelin.

Arsene Wenger’s men now boast of 47 points from 22 games – a point and two points ahead of Tottenham Hotspur and Liverpool respectively.

They welcome 14th-placed Watford to the Emirates Stadium in their next outing on January 31.
