‘Inter Milan know how to win difficult games’, says Keita Balde after victorious Sampdoria battle

Inter Milan's last-gasp victory over Sampdoria has shown that they ‘know how to win difficult games’, according to forward Keita Balde.

In Saturday’s Serie A encounter, after seeing two goals ruled out by the VAR, Luciano Spalleti's side needed a Marcelo Brozovic goal, scored after 93 minutes 11 seconds to secure their second successive triumph.

The first of the wins came against Tottenham Hotspur in Tuesday's Uefa Champions League cracker, where the Italian side rallied from behind to secure a late 2-1 victory.

And the Monaco loanee, who, again, came on from the bench at the Stadio Luigi Ferraris, has hailed the team’s drive.

“We showed that we know how to win difficult games like this one, we were full of enthusiasm after the victory against Tottenham but we knew that this game would be tough,” Keita told club website.

“We are happy with the result, and those who came onto the pitch during the match also made a contribution.”

Next up for Inter is a visit from Fiorentina on Tuesday evening.
