Fantasy Football: Why you should include Eriksen, Sanchez and Kane for Match Week 23

Setting a Fantasy Football line-up has now become a staple for many fans' weekly activity and with a midweek round of Premier League fixtures fast approaching, our expert gives you the low-down on where the value lies, how to get the best out of Goal's game and names his full XI for Match Week 23.

Are you a "set it and forget it" style manager or do you prefer the more hands on approach? The Goal game allows transfers to be made throughout the match week so if your star striker gets injured or your first choice goalkeeper has a nightmare performance then you can simply substitute them out for another player who is yet to play. Given this week's matches take place across Tuesday and Wednesday, as the transfer deadline looms large, those extra changes could come in very handy. You can either set these transfers in advance or make them as you go.

The highest scoring manager of the season will win a V.I.P European Matchday experience worth £2,000. But, with both weekly and monthly prizes on offer too, don't worry if you've yet to download the app and enter a team, there's still plenty to play for. Every month the best performing manager will win a PS4 or Xbox One, worth £300 and there are thousands of in-app credits to win every week to boost your chances of winning one of the other prizes. The game is available for iOS and Android so why not download it now and set your line-up for the next round of matches.

Here's who is in our expert's team this week...

GK: Tom Heaton - Burnley, 6.0m

DEF: Phil Jones - Manchester United, 5.4m

DEF: Seamus Coleman: Defender, Everton, 6.4

The Goal.com fantasy game favours goal scoring defenders so look no further than Everton’s Seamus Coleman. He leads all defenders with four goals and, with four clean sheets in the last five matches, has become an absolute fantasy monster! Everton’s switch to a back three has allowed Coleman the freedom to play further up the pitch and also shored up what had been a talented but underperforming defence. With three bottom ten attacks in the next five matches, the 28-year-old should continue to be one of the best fantasy players on offer.

DEF: Gareth McAuley (5.9) - West Brom

MID: Christian Eriksen - Tottenham, 8.2m

Harry Kane and  Dele Alli are currently picking up all the accolades allowing Eriksen to largely fly under the radar. Don’t let that fool you though! Eriksen is currently second in the league in assists, chances created, and shots which not only confirms how good he has already been but also that that success should continue. He is currently only the fourth most owned Tottenham player (19th overall) and, considering the kind matchup against Sunderland on Tuesday, he is both a great value and great differential.

MID: Matt Phillips (6.1) - West Brom

MID: Kevin Mirallas (6.0) - Everton

MID: Victor Moses (5.6) - Chelsea

FOR: Alexis Sanchez (9.5)

FOR: Andre Gray: Forward, Burnley, 6.2

Every good fantasy team has it’s flashy superstars but, to make your team great, you need to fill the remaining slots with low price/high upside players. Gray fits this mould to a tee! His 6.2 price tag makes him an absolute steal especially considering his incredible form which has seen him score five goals in his last five matches. Only Harry Kane (8.9) and Dele Alli (8.4) have more goals over that period! The matchups are in Burnley’s favour as well with Leicester’s third worst away defence this week and just one top ten defence in their next five matches.

FOR: Harry Kane (8.9)
