Essam El-Hadary who became the oldest player in Africa Cup of Nations history when he featured for his country in Gabon recently has been sacked by his Egyptian club.
The 44-year-old goalkeeper has been transfer-listed by Wadi Degla after reported altercation in training camp.
After initially being in the squad to face Al Ahly on Thursday in the league, El-Hadary was kicked out of camp after reportedly slapping teammate and third-choice goalkeeper Khaled Walid.
Wadi Degla coach Ahmed Hossam ‘Mido’ asked El-Hadary to apologize but when he did not, he was asked to leave the camp before slapping him with a heavy fine.
