AFC Champions League 2017: Toyota Player of the Week - Al Hilal's Mohammed Al Burayk

Saudi Arabia's Al Hilal agonisingly fell at the final hurdle as they watched Urawa Red Diamonds lift the AFC Champions League title with a 1-0 win in the second leg of the final at the Saitama stadium on Saturday. 

However, it was not for want of effort as the Saudi Arabians toiled hard to break the Urawa backline down. They put in a solid shift on the night but were unable to find a way through. 

Leading the way for them with committed defending was fullback Mohammed Al Burayk who put in a typically tireless shift.

The 25-year-old was faultless throughout, winning 100 per cent of his tackles and and aerial duels. He also won 80 per cent of his duels, apart from creating four chances for his teammates in an enterprising performance. 

Ultimately, his efforts came in a losing cause but that does not take sheen off him which sees him named as this week's Toyota Asian Player of the Week!
