3-1 AmaZulu

Pretoria University recovered from an early opening goal for AmaZulu, with the inspirational Bongani Zungu leading the charge to secure an important victory at home for his side. Zungu netted a diving header to equalise in the 17th minute, after Goodman Dlamini put the visitors ahead in the 10th minute of the match. Mame Niang then fired home to put AmaTuks ahead with 63 minutes on the clock. Zungu was not done on the night and his tap-in in the 78th minute sealed the victory for Steve Barker's charges who move up to 9th position in the PSL standings. The fleet-footed attacker will hope to inspire his side further as the campaign moves into its final six games, with AmaTuks seeking to hold onto their PSL status for next season.

Congratulations to Bongani Zungu Goal.com's 25th South Africa Player of the Week winner!

Honourable Mention

Anele Ngcongca- Genk

Genk's right-back and Bafana Bafana international Ngcongca netted a rare goal for his side during thier 1-1 draw against Zulta-Waregem. Unfortunately his opener was cancelled out on the night, but the attacking full-back will have been pleased with his contribution.

Tefu Mashaimaite- Kaizer Chiefs

After being reduced to 10-men and losing star defender Morgan Gould to injury, the league leaders needed their defenders to step up to the plate. Mashaimaite heard the call and put in a solid performance at the back, as Chiefs held on to a 0-0 draw in Durban against Golden Arrows.
Lebogang Manyama - Ajax Cape Town

Manyama scored a a vital equaliser against Free State Stars in Cape Town, which spurred the relegation-threatened Urban Warriors into action as they won the match 4-2 thanks to a double from Zimbabwean international Khama Billiat in the dying embers of the match.

Each week our team of writers will put forward a selected candidate, as chosen by Goal.com South Africa, who deserves recognition for achieving something special that matchday.

You can also help us choose a worthy recipient of the weekly accolade by leaving your nominations and comments. Your suggestions will be taken into consideration.

It won't necessarily be the best player in the country - at least not usually - but whoever we crown will have accomplished something amazing. It might be for a particularly awesome performance or for something praiseworthy off the pitch - either way, the person in question deserves special attention...
