Baxter: Chiefs will protect territory from Mimosas

Kaizer Chiefs head coach Stuart Baxter has revealed that he will field a competitive side when Amakhosi take on Ivorian champions ASEC Mimosas on Sunday afternoon
Reigning Absa Premiership champions Amakhosi will host the Black and Yellows as ASEC is affectionately known, at Dobsonville Stadium in a Caf Confederation Cup play-off, first-leg encounter.
"We will field a competitive side against ASEC Mimosas on Sunday, especially that we will be playing in our own backyard," Baxter told the Chiefs official website.
The Glamour Boys are coming off a convincing 2-0 victory over PSL rookies Polokwane City in an Absa Premiership clash on Wednesday.
"The game will be tough and will also test our experience in Caf competitions. We will protect our territory," Baxter concluded.
Meanwhile, Chiefs' Ugandan international Ivan Bukenya is confident about winning against the 1998 Caf Champions League winners.
"ASEC is a good team. I think it will be a tightly contested game because we are playing against good opposition in ASEC Mimosas, but we are going to win," Bukenya told the Chiefs' site.
The two teams have met once in the past, and it was during a pre-season tournament, the 1999 Vodacom Challenge.
Amakhosi emerged as 2-1 winners, with current SuperSport United midfielder Jabu Mahlangu (Pule), netting the winning goal for Chiefs.
