SuperSport United head coach Gavin Hunt has told Goal.com that he has delightedly accept their 0-0 result against Egyptian side ENPPI in the first leg of Caf Confederation Cup played in Egypt last Friday night.
Hunt believes that his team was lucky to have come back with a draw and he added that they can only learn from their mistakes going into the second league of the tie.
“I think we were very lucky there. We should have lost it in the end, but I am happy that we didn’t concede though scoring a goal would have been great for us. We can always learn from our mistakes,” Hunt told Goal.com.
“They’re a tough side and no doubt it is going to be a tight affair at home, but we will be ready. Williams was our hero and saving a penalty in the last minute capped off a great night for him and the team,” he said.
Matsatsantsa’s focus shifts to the league games as they continue to fight for a top four finish and their mission starts tonight (Tuesday) against Maritzburg United at the Lucas Moripe Stadium.
Hunt emphasized on the importance of Tuesday’s clash and he added that they will treat their opponents with respect, because there are three points at stake.
“Every game is important to us. We don’t take other teams for granted, because all the points are the same and equal. We don’t get bonus points for beating Pirates or Chiefs,” concluded Hunt.
