Former Kaizer Chiefs midfielder John “Shoes” Moshoeu has told Goal that AmaKhosi stand a good chance of winning the Nedbank Cup on Saturday.
Chiefs are without a win in their last four games, but Moshoeu believes that Saturday’s final will be Amakhosi’s turning point.
“It’s Chiefs all the way. They have done well this season and everyone believes that they are the best team. They haven’t won in their last four games, but this is the turning point for them,” Moshoeu told Goal.

“SuperSport United haven’t been at their best this season with more draws than wins and no doubt Chiefs are the favourites to win this one,” said Moshoeu.
The former Bafana playmaker does not believe that the excitement of winning the league title could get into the Chiefs players against SuperSport United. He believes the pedigree that Chiefs have in cup competitions will always give them advantage.
Moshoeu added that there are no specific players that can win the game for either sides, but he believes that Siphiwe Tshabalala may be the player to look out for.

“Winning the league will be an added advantage for them. Chiefs will sometimes win the cup without playing well, because they are Chiefs and they have won a lot of trophies,” he said.
“Our football still lacks individual players who can take the responsibility of winning the game for the team, but I think Tshabalala is one player who can do that if he comes to the party,” added Shoes Moshoeu.
