Chiefs skipper Itumeleng Khune promises the fans that they will return to winning ways when Chiefs take on SuperSport United in the Nedbank Cup final on Saturday

Kaizer Chiefs goalkeeper Itumeleng Khune has assured the AmaKhosi fans that they will beat SuperSport United to win the Nedbank Cup on Saturday afternoon.

Khune expressed his disappointment at failing to end their remarkable season with a win against AmaTuks this past weekend, but praised teamwork for Chiefs success this season.

“Credit must go to the whole team. We really deserved the title. We worked very hard for it, but we are disappointed with our results against AmaTuks (1-0 defeat). It didn’t go our way, but we have to go back and prepare for the final,” said Khune after they were officially crowned the PSL champions.

The newly crowned PSL champions failed to record a win in their last four league games, but they had collected enough points to win their first league title in eight years.

However, Khune is adamant that Chiefs will give their fans something to smile about as they are gunning for the trophy they last won in 2006 under different sponsors.

“Our Chiefs fans should know that we have unfinished business and come the May 25, we will make sure that we put smiles on their faces,” added Khune.
