Khune brothers at war in Nedbank Cup semi finals with Chiefs and United

Khune brothers, Itumeleng and Lucky will meet each other in the semis of the Nedbank Cup where they will both be aspiring to take their teams to the finals

The younger brother Lucky, told Isolezwe that he will be facing his older brother for the first time in his life, as far as he could remember.

“From the time we were amateurs, I don’t recall playing against Itumeleng. I think it is going to be a challenge, as he is a good goalkeeper and he is in a good form, but I am excited about it.

“I would most definitely love to score against him and hopefully help my club reach the finals,” said Lucky.

The United striker is also a former Kaizer Chiefs player, but this time his mission will be on helping his new side to win the Nedbank Cup.

Lucky said he knows that Kaizer Chiefs is a big club, but they are more than prepared for them.

“Chiefs is one of the biggest clubs in South Africa and to top it all they are now sitting on top of the Premier Soccer League log, but that does not mean we are scared of them. At the end of the day they are just like any other club,” he said.
