Matsatsantsa skipper Kermit Erasmus tells Goal.com that they will defend their Nedbank Cup title after reaching the semifinals on Saturday afternoon

SuperSport United captain and striker Kermit Erasmus has told Goal.com that he believes his team is in great shape to lift the Nedbank Cup for the second successive season following their impressive 2-1 away to Maritzburg United on Saturday.

The Tshwane-based outfit didn’t start the PSL season well, but they have improved tremendously as they are unbeaten in over 12 games that they have played so far in all competitions.

“We have done well in recent games. I think it was a matter of getting a couple of goals to bring back the confidence. We have been doing that recently and now I am convinced that we can defend our Nedbank Cup title,” Erasmus told Goal.com.

With the Nedbank Cup semifinal draw coming up later today, Erasmus believes that all the teams are in the semifinals on merit and he added that they fear no team going into the last four of the competition.

“Any team will be ideal for us. They all in the semis because they deserve to be there and I cannot wish for better or even weaker opponents in the semis,” he added
