Hunt disappointed with SuperSport's lack of killer instinct

Despite his team advancing to the semi finals of the Nedbank Cup, SuperSport United coach Gavin Hunt was not pleased with Thabiso Nkoana’s performance

Nkoana came on during the second half of the match which SuperSport United eventually eliminated Maritzburg United on Saturday. However, if he was more lethal then the game could have been more comfortable for the defending champions.

“I am disappointed with Nkoana’s performance. He had many opportunities to score but he did not use them.

“He had a chance to score even four goals in this match, but this is part of football,” said Hunt.

The coach acknowledged the hard work and great fight that his team produced especially since they have been playing back to back matches lately.

“My players did well. There is no doubt that it was not an easy match and I must say what is important is the result and we got just that,” he said.

Hunt said his focus now will be on the league and taking things one step at a time.

“Anything is possible. We are still in the race and there is no doubt that we want to win the Nedbank, but again we must not forget the league matches as well,” added Hunt.
