Another Tembu Royals player suspected for 'alleged' age cheating

Another Tembu Royals player Sechaba Mofekeng is being suspected for using an identity document that does not belong to him as well

A source revealed to that Mofokeng is not using his real age and he is much older than the actual age on paper. Despite this the player who scored the opening goal for Royals against AmaZulu in the Nedbank, will be participating in Friday's match against Maritzburg United.

“The worse part of it all is that, most people in this province know about these things and nobody is willing to say anything about it. As for Mofokeng, he is not playing with his real age and it is just a matter of time before the whole club gets suspended,” said the source.

This news follows the AmaZulu case against Royals which AmaZulu lost. There was not enough evidence that the player was using the wrong identity document.

“The important thing for the PSL, is the Nedbank Cup and the money that comes with it. That is why they just dismissed the case just like that. I believe there is more that should have been done because that case was going to delay the Nedbank and also the PSL matches, so that decision was taken,” said the source.

PSL member, Luxolo September said they have not been notified about this player, but as soon as they hear anything they will look into the matter.

September went on to say that, he doesn’t really want to speak about the AmaZulu case because that is closed and they have to move on.

“We have not heard anything pertaining that player. Yes, there were rumours about it, but nobody has put a complaint in the PSL. As for AmaZulu their case is over and they will just have to accept the decision and move on as we have done in the PSL,” said September.
