Royals and Maritzburg's Nedbank match scheduled for Friday

After a long fight with AmaZulu, Tembu Royals will finally get to play their Nedbank last 16 match against Maritzburg United at 8pm in the Eastern Cape on Friday

This not only good news for Tembu Royals and Maritzburg who were supposed to play each other on Sunday, but for the Royals fans at Umtata.

The Premier Soccer League confirmed that the two will play their match in the Eastern Cape as it was scheduled.

This match is still expected to draw a lot of spectators as the tickets were selling fast. PSL General Manager of Football, Derek Blanckensee thanked both Tembu Royals and Maritzburg United for their cooperation in ensuring that the fixture is played soon.

“We are glad that the arbitration process is over and we can now focus again on the Nedbank Cup. Credit should go to both teams who worked closely with the PSL to find a speedy solution when we were discussing the new date,” said Blanckensee.

Tembu Royals coach Lwandile Magula said his team is more than ready to play United.

“We are more than the word ready and we are glad that we will finally get to play. With the support that we will be receiving from our fans I am sure we will not disappoint them at all,” he said.
