Musona returns for Kaizer Chiefs against Platinum Stars

Musona is expected to feature on the weekend as Kaizer Chiefs welcome Platinum Stars in the semi-finals of the Telkom Knockout Cup at the FNB Stadium

Kaizer Chiefs coach Stuart Baxter has confirmed that striker Knowledge Musona is available for selection against Platinum Stars on the weekend.

Musona was thought return at least in the first week of December having been ruled out for six weeks, but Baxter confirmed that he has fully recovered.

“Knowledge (Musona) is fine. He started training with the rest of the squad yesterday, and he is fully fit. So, he is available for Saturday’s game (against Platinum Stars),” Baxter told reporters.

The 23-year-old Musona injured his shoulder during the quarterfinals of the same Telkom Knockout Cup competition against Free State Stars.

Meanwhile, Tsepo Masilela has been ruled out of Dikwena game due to a groin injury, and Baxter said that it could take the player at least a week or two to recover.

“Tsepo (Masilela) is probably out. He’s not going to be fit for Saturday’s game. He will undergo scan and it could take seven to 14 days before he can come back,” added Baxter.
