The 27-year-old Khune told reporters that another season without a major trophy would not be good enough for the Glamour Boys
Kaizer Chiefs captain Itumeleng Khune has admitted that the club disappointed the majority of their fans by failing to defend their two titles last season.
However, the AmaKhosi goalkeeper said that their aim as players, is to win all the trophies available to them this season starting with the MTN 8 Cup.
"We disappointed our fans last season, but we've promised to clean sweep all the trophies. We have five or six trophies to play for and there's no way we can finish the season with nothing," said Khune at a press conference on Thursday.
The Bafana skipper believes Chiefs' downfall last term was that they made it easy for their opponents at the FNB Stadium after losing some crucial games towards the end of the season.
"We made it easy for teams coming to FNB Stadium last season and we have to change that this season.
"From last season, we have learnt to be consistent. We lost concentration when certain players suffered injuries," he said.
Khune also spoke of the club's failure to get their targets in the current Transfer Window, revealing that Bobby Motaung has promised to sign more players before the Transfer Window closes.
