thumbnail Hello,

Platinum Stars midfielder Robert Ng’ambi looks forward to playing in the MTN 8 final against Orlando Pirates at the Moses Mabhida Stadium on Saturday

Speaking to the media Ng’ambi, who scored both goals in Platinum Stars 2-1 victory against Bidvest Wits, said the match was not easy but their defense stood strong.

“It wasn't an easy game to play, especially after we had another game on Saturday against Chiefs, but we came here with a game plan, and we wanted to score goals."

The forward is more optimistic since they lost against Chiefs on the weekend, despite playing well. This time they have reaped their fruit in front of goal.

“We have a good team here. The guys work really hard. We have a strong defense and you can see that by the way we defended in the first half. I’m happy with the boys, they really showed their character today.

“It was just a matter of working hard as a team. We knew that it wasn't going to be an easy game to play, but we came here to get the result. That is what we wanted."

After losing in the Nedbank Cup final, Platinum Stars will hope to win a trophy in the MTN 8 final against Pirates. They have now finished runners up in three competitions this year.

“It's always good to play in the final, and we are looking forward to it.”

Ng’ambi has already banged in two goals in the Absa Premiership this season, and he is one of the strikers that are contesting for the leading goalscorer prize.
