Manyisa admits that Chiefs have been doing well, but he says Pirates will try to stay focused and win the match on Saturday

Orlando Pirates and Bafana midfielder Oupa Manyisa has told the club website that they have an advantage over Kaizer Chiefs ahead of the MTN 8 semi-final on Saturday.

Pirates visit their arch-rivals at the FNB Stadium, and Maniysa says they want to give Bucs faithful something to smile about at the end of the game.

“I think the attitude we have displayed in the Champions League will put us in good stead. Coming into Saturday’s match we have to play well and give our fans some joy on Saturday,” said Manyisa.

Chiefs have been on the rise lately and Manyisa shares the same sentiments while also reflecting on their Black Label Cup defeat at the hands of AmaKhosi.

“Chiefs won the league last season, so they also believe they can get a result from us. We lost in the Carling Cup to them and that shows they have the ability of playing good football and win high tempo matches.”

Manyisa has urged his teammates to give Chiefs the respect they deserve, but says Pirates have to focus on winning the game.

“For us it will be important to approach the game with the right attitude and give our opponents the respect they deserve.

“Like I said, we are in a good space at the moment and we will try to stay focused and win the match on Saturday.” he added.
