Pirates will visit Kaizer Chiefs in the first leg of the MTN 8 semi-finals at the FNB Stadium on Saturday afternoon, and it seems like Bacela has done enough to book his place already.
His club coach Roger de Sa confirmed to Goal that the former Bloemfontein Celtic forward has proven himself and that he deserves the spot in his starting line-up against their closest rivals.

“It will not be a difficult decision at all to choose which striker to start with against Chiefs this weekend. The striker that has been scoring goals will surely start [referring to Bacela],” Roger de Sa told Goal.
“We are hoping Mbesuma will return from his injury this week, but again it will be unfair to bench Bacela. He has been superb for us,” he said.
Bacela struck twice against SuperSport United over a week ago, and he again scored the opener against Zamalek on Saturday night before providing an assist for Tlou Segolela in the second half.

De Sa also confirmed that the club’s new striker Thamsanqa Gabuza is far from making the squad, as he is still working on his fitness.
“Gabuza won’t be available against Chiefs. He hasn’t trained for a long time. He played in a friendly on Saturday morning and he looks a little bit rusty.
“He just needs to put a few training sessions and get to his best. He admitted that he hasn’t really trained that hard. So, it will take a couple of weeks to get him to his best,” added De Sa.
