Orlando Pirates are set to offload central defender Vusi Mthimkhulu a month after returning from loan, Goal revealsPirates have already transferred more than ten players so far in this transfer window, with clubs like Chippa United and Lamontville Golden Arrows benefiting from Bucs' player exodus.
Now Goal has been informed that defender-come-midfielder Mthimkhulu could soon leave Pirates by a source at the Parktown-based outfit.
"Well, coach VV (Vladimir Vermezovic) and the management are trimming down the squad. Some of our players will be leaving either on loan or will be released. That process is on-going at the moment," the source told Goal .
"One of the players whose future lies elsewhere is Mthimkhulu. The one who was with Polokwane (City) last season," the source told Goal .
The 28-year-old former Thanda Royal Zulu player made 16 league appearances for the Rise and Shine last season, while on loan at the Limpopo-based outfit.
"Vusi has been training with players who are destined to leave the club soon," the source concluded to Goal .
Polokwane have been linked with a possible move for the versatile player on a permanent deal.
