Smeekes looking for PSL club
Orlando Smeekes, who was released by Maritzburg United at the end of last season is looking for another crack at the big-time amidst interest from Europe. The Dutchman enjoyed a great run of form when Steve Komphela took over midway last season, scoring some vital goals that nearly took the Team of Choice to their first-ever top eight participation.
He was released from the Pietermaritzburg side because of wages being too high for them. At 33, Smeekes still has the pace, skill and killer instinct.
