Absa Premiership champions Mamelodi Sundowns are reportedly interested in Zimbabwean defender Ocean Mushure, as the Brazilians look to reinforce their defence
The Dynamos left-back is believed to have caught the eye of the Sundowns technical team during the Brazilians' tour of Zimbabwe just last month.
Dynamos, who are Zimbabwe Premier Soccer League (ZPSL) reigning champions, have confirmed interest from the South African side in their player.
“But so far they haven’t come back to us to officially open negotiations. I can’t say much as regards his contract," Dynamos secretary-general Webster Chikengezha said on the Sunday Mail.
"However, I can confirm that it’s running out at the end of the year and should Sundowns not come back for him. We will sit down with him and try to extend it as we have set ourselves a September 30 deadline to finalise our 2015 squad," he added.
Downs head coach Pitso Mosimane and Zimbabwe football legend Peter Ndlovu who's now Sundowns team manager, are both said to have been impressed by the 29-year-old wing-back.
The Chloorkop-based outfit will have to act very soon, as the left-footed defender has reportedly attracted interest from Europe, with a Polish club eyeing him.
Goal understands that coach Mosimane is currently in the market for a left-sided defender, who can seriously challenge Tebogo Langerman in the left-back position.
