Mpumalanga Black Aces midfielder Thabo Qalinge is edging closer to a dream move to Kaizer Chiefs, Goal can exclusively confirm.

AmaZayoni head coach Clive Barker told Goal that Qalinge is scheduled to meet the club bosses today to finalise the move, with Chiefs expected to unveil the 22-year-old in a press conference to be held on Wednesday.

Barker previously revealed that he would like to hold on to his star player, but he has now admitted that the matter is no longer in his hands.

"He's meeting with the club directors today, probably to finalise everything. It's out of my hands now," Barker told Goal.

Qalinge has been linked with a move to AmaKhosi for a while now, and as things stand, the Soweto giants are winning the race for his signature.

He played and scored for Black Aces during their Charity Showdown match this past weekend in what could have been his last game for the Mpumalanga outfit.

'Section 10', as Qalinge is affectionately known, was one of the outstanding players for Aces last season, making 29 league appearances accompanied by seven assists.
