The former US Boulogne player joined Chiefs' pre-season preparations on trial two weeks ago, after Belgian club OH Leuven decided against renewing his expiring contract.
Goal has since been informed that the 25-year-old could soon sign for Kaizer Chiefs by a source close to his agent Ralph Nkomo.
"Ovidy has done really well during Chiefs' training camps. The coaches have informed him that his agent will be engaged by the club," the source told Goal.
Ghananian striker Mike Mohamed is also being assessed by the Soweto giants. As previously reported on Goal, the Mbabane Swallows striker was recommended by Chiefs assistant coach Doctor Khumalo.
Goal spoke exclusively to Chiefs corporate communications manager Vina Maphosa regarding the two trialists.
"Well, regarding that, we shall make an announcement on the 22nd of this month. We only confirm deals when they are all done," Maphosa told Goal.
"So, we will share some information on Ovidy and another trialist (Mike) Mohammed in two weeks time," he concluded.
