Mamelodi Sundowns' Dove Wome could be on his way out on a loan deal as Sundowns look to give the youngster some valuable first team game-time elsewhere

Wome saw precious little game-time following his first season at Chloorkop and Goal has learnt that coach Pitso Mosimane is keen to ship the talented youngster out on loan.

The Togolese midfielder was one of the players to really impress while still at Free State Stars, before securing a move to Sundowns ahead of the 2013/14 season.

Mosimane is a fan of the young winger but has admitted in the past that Wome would have to fight for his place in the first team.

According to a member of the backroom staff, Wome is believed to be in line to make a return to Stars for the season, with AmaTuks and SuperSport United the other clubs in contention.

“Pitso has told us that we need to find a way to get Wome more games,” the source tells Goal.

“He wants Dove to get more time on the park and it looks like the only way that will happen is if he plays elsewhere, but strictly on a loan deal.”

With a host of new faces already arriving at Chloorkop since the start of the transfer window, young players like Wome will need to really shine in order to impress Mosimane.

But a loan deal could well be on the cards and would provide a deal that suits all parties.

Wome has been training with the team and appears well within Mosimane’s plans, with the source making it very clear that Wome would not be leaving on a permanent deal.

“No, no, no… he won’t be leaving us. He is a talented player and everyone has seen what he can do.”
