Kaizer Chiefs still after Qalinge

Kaizer Chiefs have not given up on landing Mpumalanga Black Aces impressive attacking midfielder Thabo Qalinge. Though, Aces are reluctant to sell one of their star men of last season, Chiefs still hope that they can lure him away and are said to use Mandla Masango in a player-exchange deal. They face competition from their arch-rivals Orlando Pirates, who are also making preparations to land the man named "Section".

Musona's future still in the air! 

Zimbabwean Knowledge Musona has not yet come to grips as to where he willl play next season. However, there is a possibility of him going to either Belgium or Russia as there have been enquiries for his services.

Manqana leaves Usuthu 

Njabulo Manqana has reportedly left Amazulu after only a season with the club. The winger has had a tumultuous career of late, moving from Golden Arrows to Orlando Pirates and then AmaZulu without any success whatsoever. He is best remembered for his man of the match performance against Ajax Cape Town in the 2009 MTN 8 final in which Abafana Besthende annihilated the Urban Warriors 6-0 with Manqana grabbing a brace at the Orlando Stadium. Platinum Stars is touted to be his next home.

Carelse out in the cold

Veteran Brent Carelse is uncertain of his future following his unpleasant departure from Chippa United at the end of last season. The 33-year-old has worn the colours of Hellenic, Ajax Cape Town, Mamelodi Sundowns, Supersport United and recently Chippa, since turning pro in 1997.

"I am stiill waiting for anyone to come with an offer. I am fit and ready to play for any club in the PSL," he told Goal.

Having invariably reached the twilight of his career, it will be interesting to see if any team in the Premiership bring the Johannesburg-born player into their team before the campaign gets underway.

Sheppard to join Wits 

Former Bafana Bafana international Dillon Sheppard, who was released towards the end of last season by Maritzburg United is reportedly close to agreeing terms with Bidvest Wits.

Usuthu chase Monama

AmaZulu have reportedly opened up negotiations with Mamelodi Sundowns midfielder Raymond Monama, who spent the second half of last season on-loan at University of Pretoria. 

Nyongo teams up with Usuthu 

Young central-defender Tapelo Nyongo has joined AmaZulu from ABC Motsepe League side Old Mutual Academy in the Western Cape.
