Goal can confirm that Moroka Swallows have decided against renewing Roger da Costa's contract, as the process of rebuilding the team continues.
Da Costa's contract with the Dube Birds is coming to an end later this month (June), and despite being one of the key players for Swallows last season, he is leaving the club.
"Roger is another player that is leaving the club," the source told Goal. "We are in a process of rebuilding the club, and we will have at least 11 new players next season," added our source.
Da Costa formed a solid partnership with Larry Cohen in the Swallows defence last season, but he was at one stage unavailable for selection as he attended his sister's wedding in the middle of last season.
He later returned to the team, but couldn't contribute much as Swallows struggled to get results, and were almost in danger of getting relegated.
It is unclear at this stage whether Da Costa will still be plying his trade in the PSL next season, or he will move abroad.
