Bloemfontein Celtic are hoping to add more new faces to the team and have signalled their intent following the ambitious signing of Bevan Fransman from SuperSport UnitedCeltic showed their intent and pulled off a major signing in Fransman, which, according to a highly-placed source at the club, is only the beginning for Ernst Middendorp and his side.
The club has also ruled out the sale of Hellings Mhango, who was in superb form last season and began attracting plenty of attention from around the PSL.
According to the source, who opted not to be be named, Middendorp is keen to add at least one other fresh name ahead of the new season, although he has many targets on the horizon.
"The coach did well and Bevan showed us that he means business," the source tells Goal.
"The team want to be better next season and we are all looking forward to seeing what happens next for the club."
Phunya Sele Sele finished sixth last season, and will take part in the MTN8. Middendorp knows he will need a big squad to compete on all fronts.
One name that has already emerged is that of Collins Mbesuma. The burly striker has fallen out of favour at Orlando Pirates and looks set for an exit.
Although Celtic would be a tempting move for the former Kaizer Chiefs attacker, they will face stiff competition from a number of other interested parties, who have already expressed their desire in signing the prolific striker.
Elsewhere, Celtic are believed to be in for another defender, but Middendorp is yet to begin his search, following the capture of Fransman.
