thumbnail Hello,

Masango was reported to have attracted interest from Bidvest Wits last season, but it is unclear if the Students would still be interested in the speedy winger

Kaizer Chiefs midfielder Mandla Masango could be playing somewhere else next season after failing to cement his place in Stuart Baxter's starting line-up in the past two seasons.

Goal has it on good authority that the technical team wants to have a pool of players that will keep competition healthy in the team.

Masango's name has been mentioned among those who could be released by the club before the start of the new campaign.

Masango was linked with a move to Ajax Cape Town late last year in a deal that would have seen Lebogang Manyama move to AmaKhosi.

However, the 24-year-old attacking midfielder wasn't interested in moving to the Mother City and therefore the deal didn't materialize.

Bidvest Wits were also reported to be interested in the player, but again nothing came out of it as Masango remained with AmaKhosi until the end of last season. His contract with Chiefs will expire at the end of June 2015.

Masango joined Chiefs in the 2007/08 season, but despite being at the club for more than seven seasons, he has struggled to live up to expectations.
