Bundesliga club Hoffenheim hold the key to the Zimbabwean's future, but the PSL champions are hoping to keep him next season, while Chiefs suffer a setback in the hunt for MokgothuOn loan at Kaizer Chiefs, Knowledge Musona has scored 13 goals in 22 matches, despite not being a regular for the AmaKhosi. Competition is high for the champions with Katlego Mphela recently signing to bolster an attack that already boasts Bafana Bafana star Bernard Parker.
Since returning to the club, Musona has taken time to readjust to South African football, after an unsuccessful stint in Germany had disrupted his progress. In time Musona has regained his form, particularly in the Caf Champions League.
Bobby Motaung spoke to Kickoff about the 23-year-old's future.
“We are still engaging Hoffenheim. We will know by the end of April and it depends on what opportunities are there for the player,” Motaung told Kickoff.
Meanwhile, the AmaKhosi suffered a setback in their reported chase of Moroka Swallows left-back Levy Mokgothu. After Chiefs made enquiries for the player, the Birds have responded to place a not for sale tag on the defender.
