The 29-year-old Mphela was also wanted by MP Black Aces, but Sundowns have finally agreed to let him join Chiefs

Goal can confirm that Katlego Mphela has joined Kaizer Chiefs on a six-month loan from Mamelodi Sundowns.
Mphela signed a pre-contract with AmaKhosi earlier this month, and Killer remains a Sundowns player until his contract comes to an end in July.
Sundowns PRO Kabelo Mosito confirmed the news to Goal, saying Mphela will join Chiefs on a permanent deal immediately after his loan spell.
"Mphela has joined Chiefs on a six-month loan," Mosito told Goal. "He remains our player and therefore will only join Chiefs in July," he said.
The news means Mphela will be ineligible to play against Sundowns in the second leg of the season, as both teams challenge for the PSL title.
Meanwhile, Mosito also confirmed that the same deal has been struck between the club and Bidvest Wits who were hoping to have Jabulani Shongwe by today.
Like Mphela, Shongwe signed a pre-contract with the Students over a week ago, but the left-footed midfielder can permanently join his new teammates next season.
