Former Bafana Bafana defender Luvhengo Mungomeni could soon be leaving his club, Moroka Swallows. It has been said that the 28-year-old player will leave the Birds if his personal terms are not met by the club. Mungomeni's current deal with Swallows will expire at the end of June this year. The Ha-Rabali born defender has been a regular for Birds this season making 14 appearances and scoring twice for the Soweto giants.
It has also been reported that former Bafana Bafana and Moroka Swallows striker Keryn Jordan's son Liam Jordan has arrived in Johannesburg from Auckland, New Zealand. The 15-year-old football player is expected to start training with Absa Premiership side Bidvest Wits soon. Young Liam has been regarded as a bright football prospect by the New Zealand football media. Liam's father, Keryn passed away with cancer on the 21st of October 2013, aged just 37.
Mamelodi Sundowns striker Katlego Mphela is said to be leaving The Brazilians before the PSL January transfer window closes on Friday. Mpumalanga Black Aces reportedly confirmed their interest in the 29-year-old player on Thursday. Amazoyoni are interested in taking Mphela on a six month loan deal. However, the Bafana Bafana striker has signed a pre-contract with Downs' rivals Kaizer Chiefs. He could still join the Glamour Boys before the window closes, as negotiations between Chiefs and Sundowns are said to be ongoing regarding his early release.
Ajax Cape Town confirmed the signing of Carl Lark from National First Division side Santos on loan. Urban Warriors interim coach Ian Taylor announced the deal on Thursday. The 20-year-old is said to be a good winger and his new coach also revealed the youngster had potential to succeed at PSL level and that would nurture him to reach his full potential.
