thumbnail Hello,

Mphela hasn't seen much game time under Pitso Mosimane this season, and Motaung wants the player to join AmaKhosi before the end of the transfer window tomorrow (Friday)

Mamelodi Sundowns chief scout Trott Moloto has reacted angrily to reports that Kaizer Chiefs football manager Bobby Motaung wants to engage with President Patrice Motsepe regarding Katlego Mphela's early release to Naturena.

Mphela signed a pre-contract with AmaKhosi earlier this month, but the Soweto giants made their intentions clear that they want to have 'Killer' now by engaging with Sundowns.

"I do not understand why Bobby keeps going to the media and saying that he wants to speak to Mr Motsepe. Bobby and I have been talking about players," Moloto told the club website.

Goal exclusively reported last week that Sundowns are reluctant to release Mphela now, and that the player will only be joining Chiefs in July, and Moloto says that Bobby should respect internal procedures.

"I do not say that I want to speak to Kaizer Motaung and disrespect the discussions at our level. He must respect the internal procedures and processes within Sundowns," concluded Moloto.

The 29-year-old Mphela worked with coach Stuart Baxter at Bafana about 10 years ago, and the Chiefs mentor believes the former SuperSport United forward still has what it takes.
