Black Aces make two signings but lose out on former AmaKhosi

Former Kaizer Chiefs defender Thomas Sweswe failed a fitness test at Mpumalanga Black Aces
Sweswe's fitness problems effectively put an end to his proposed move to Aces, and one wonders what's next for the former AmaKhosi?

The 32-year-old has been out of favour at Bidvest Wits since the arrival of current coach Gavin Hunt. Sweswe was a regular for The Students, playing 27 matches and scoring one goal last season, under former coach Clive Barker who's now at Aces.

"Thomas Sweswe would of been the third player from Wits, but Aces turned him down after he failed a fitness test," said the official Aces website.

AmaZayoni have also confirmed the signing of former Mamelodi Sundowns goalkeeper Jackson Mabokgwane and 21-year-old winger Miguel Timm both on loan from Wits.

"Aces have signed 6-month loan deals with Wits for the services of goalkeeper Jackson Mabokgwane and midfielder Miquel Timm," the statement read.
