Orlando Pirates have rubbished reports that Mozambican forward Helder Pelembe has put pen to paper with the Parktown-based club.

Pelembe has been in the country for more than two weeks, and Roger de Sa had previously admitted that he would like to sign the player during the January transfer window.

However, Bucs’ administrative manager Floyd Mbele has told Goal that nothing has been concluded despite the reports that Pelembe has signed a three-year deal.

“Pelembe has been training with us for a while now, but we have not signed him,” Mbele told Goal.

Pirates are looking to reinforce their striking department with Collins Mbesuma and Lennox Bacela the only preferred marksmen by coach Roger de Sa, and the Bucs manager admitted that Pelembe is a good player.

“He is looking good, but the decision is yet to be made,” he added.

The Sea Robbers are currently 16th on the PSL log and have just lost their third Cup final of the season, but signing the right players could get them going.
