Jali’s contract is coming to an end next June, and he has been linked with a move away from Pirates with Sundowns reportedly interested in the player

Despite one of the club officials confirming to Goal towards the end of August that Andile Jali has agreed to a long term contract with Orlando Pirates, it seems nothing has been signed yet.
Jali’s contract with Pirates expires at the end of the current season, and he has been linked with a move away from the club although it is highly unlikely that the 23-year-old would leave for another local club.

Speaking to Goal ahead of their Caf Champions League final against Al Ahly on Saturday, Jali couldn’t confirm whether he has agreed to stay at Pirates or not, saying only the club can confirm that.
“Let’s rather speak about the Caf Champions League than my contract with Pirates. Ask the club about it,” Jali told Goal.

However, Pirates are yet to release a formal statement regarding the renewal of Jali’s contract, as they are currently focused on conquering Africa.
Jali agency, ProSport International, could also not comment on the issue of Jali’s contract with Pirates, saying the club should be able to give a more appropriate response.
