Bester failed to convince Pirates coach Roger de Sa to include him in the starting line-up with the likes of Sifiso Myeni and Tlou Segolela preferred candidates
Bester has struggled with game time since joining Pirates from Maritzburg United in 2011, but he is certain of playing on a regular basis now that he is returning to KwaZulu Natal.

The 30-year-old Bester has expressed his delight at being allowed to leave the club for another PSL team, and says he can’t wait to play for his new team.
“Ultimately I want to be on the football field, doing what I love to do which is playing football. I’m happy to have been granted the permission to join Arrows on loan for the season,” Bester told the Pirates website.

The Namibian attacking midfielder will be hoping to impress Arrows coach Manqoba Mngqithi, and possibly hoping for a permanent stay after his loan spell.
