thumbnail Hello,

The Zimbabwean striker will spend the 2013/2014 season on loan to Belgian side KV Oostende

Nyasha Mushekwi has officially joined Belgian side KV Oostende on a one-year loan deal from Mamelodi Sundowns, the Brazilians announced.

Mushekwi was reported to have sealed the move a few weeks ago, but there were still issues between the two clubs to conclude the deal.

However, Sundowns and Oostende have reached an agreement that will see Mushekwi spend the 2013/2014 season in the Belgian Pro League.

“An agreement between the two clubs might have taken longer than expected because all the parties involved had to first be satisfied with the terms of the deal.

“Therefore the time period for negotiations could never be determined. We are very pleased for the player that an agreement has been reached finally,” Mosito concluded.

The 25-year-old Mushekwi was courted by Orlando Pirates prior to his trial in Belgium, but the striker opted to try his luck in Europe before considering a local move.
