Mamelodi Sundowns have officially confirmed the signing of Zambian international Mukuka Mulenga on a three-year deal from Power Dynamos [of Zambia].

Mulenga has been linked with the move to South Africa back in January, and although the two teams, Sundowns and Dynamos, agreed terms then, the player was still negotiating his personal terms with the Brazilians.

The 20-year-old Mulenga joins Pitso Mosimane’s well assembled squad and he is expected to help the team win its first major silverware since 2008.

Mulenga was part of the Zambian national team that won the 2012 edition of African Cup of nations, and he was also instrumental in Chipolopolo’s Cosafa success in Zambia recently.

He joins his countryman Kennedy Mweene who was signed from Free State Stars having spent over five years with Ea Lla Koto.

Mulenga was one of the star players in the Zambian Premier League, and for his efforts and hard work, he was named Footballer of the Year in the previous season.
